Revenue Canada.... "Garnishees"..."requirement to pay"...."third party demands"
For those taxpayers and third parties concerned about "Requirements to Pay" ;
they should know their rights and obligations relevant thereto. Either party has
30 days to decide to challenge the "requirement" in Federal Court.
As it now stands this "requirement" to pay in it's present form of usage is
defective and therefore should be called into question before acting up it....
a third party would be acting in contempt of the taxpayer's rights
relevant thereto. Either party or both may challenge.

Is this group still active? Does anyone have a copy of that Cyrus case law?

That judgement was made on May 31, 1976.

A copy of that judgement is available for purchase through the CPAstore at http://www.castore.ca/Catalogue/ShowSampleToc.aspx?productID=649&spID=637&expID=511506111~529

Or you can go to your local law library and search the reference section for that timeframe for a copy. Since I do not know where in Canada you are located, I can't suggest an appropriate venue, but I've had success in the past by going to the local university's law library.
